Howdy y'all! My name's Conrad and I recently purchased my 2000 metallic blue Tacoma and I'm working on restoring it. It's a 3.4L V6, automatic and has four-wheel drive. I got it with 240,000 miles on it. Right now it has a check engine light for the torque converter solenoid but I'm in the process of learning how to fix that. I've got a long way to go and I have tons of plans for this truck. I just ordered a bunch more parts on Amazon and RockAuto and I'll be adding to my build thread!

New double din radio from Amazon. The sound difference is insane.

Today my new coil overs, spark plug wires, fuel pump filter and Monroe shock absorbers came in. Just replaced the spark plugs the other day. I got KYB struts coming in a few days and my new Denso fuel pump comes tomorrow.

My next mission is to take the bed off the truck. Once off, I plan on treating the frame, replacing my shock absorbers, swapping out my CV axle seal, dropping the fuel tank and cleaning it out before installing the new pump and filter. I also have a tranny filter on the way for when I tackle my check engine light for a shift "e" solenoid sensor aaaaand my Honda windshield sprayer nozzles come in a few days.

I appreciate it! It's been a lot of work so far but I'm loving the ride more and more every day :)

Frame is rusty than a mf. I'm looking into frame repair kits and welders in my area.

Took the starter off and used a Victory Lap ND-34SOL Solenoid Repair Kit along with a can of brake cleaner. WOW what a difference in startup!! Runs like a new vehicle now. Also put in some Honda Windshield Washer Nozzles. Crazy how big of a difference a little sprayer can make

What'd you decide to do with the frame? I'd be worried about that spring mount failing with that chunk of frame missing. Hows the rest of it look?

I haven’t gotten the frame repaired just yet but I got the parts needed. I went on autorust and ordered their midsection w/ spring mounts frame repair kit. With material surcharge and shipping it was $465. The rest of the frame is solid apart from those two sections!

Went home for Christmas and decided to get some parts swapped out. I went to replace my front suspension and during the process parts just kept breaking. The struggles of having a 20 year old rust bucket lol. I ended up getting the front and rear suspension replaced. I also got new strut mounts and sway bar stabilizers.
