Despite having power seats and seat jackers my seats are awful. I know some folks have had luck taking them to an upholsterer and having the bottom rescuplted. Any one in SoCal had it done and happy with the shop?

I ended up getting this done by Ultra Trim Auto Restyling in Carson. I wouldn’t say it’s night and day but the huge leg pain on long drives is gone. It was $225 to add memory foam to the seat bottom and extend it a little bit.

Specs if you can? What is your heigh and weight? Also, how noticeable was the additional material and would you be able to post a picture of the bottom cushion. I'm thinking of just adding memory foam myself to the cushion. I have extra memory foam from a mattress topper. I've since added that additional memory foam to our sofa and a vintage mcm chair. It has made a huge difference and may think of doing the same to my front seats.

    Cheers!

I’m 6’, 200lbs. He said they extended the seat cushion by an inch but I didn’t ask how thick the foam was. I’d guess an inch maybe? He showed the material to me. It really doesn’t look much different just fuller than the passenger seat. You can probably just put the memory foam on top of the seat and drive around for a bit to get the gist. The Softex on the Pro isn’t very compliant so I think it blunts some of the effect.

What is the price point for this - custom seats might not be much more in the big picture.

I paid $225 and the Scheel-Mann’s are $2k so it’s a big difference. Also you lose the airbag and need custom wiring for the seat heater.
