New Taco owner here! I got a 06 Tacoma all stock. I'm planning on getting a 6 inch lift but I'm unsure what tire size to run. I'm planning on keeping my stock 16" wheels. I was thinking 285/75/16 but I'm not sure. Any idea what tire size would look best on a 6" inch lift? Anybody running a 6 inch lift currently if so what brand?

There are some folks around with drop bracket lifts, but the vast majority of folks prefer not to cut their frame.

A lot of guys dislike 6" lifts here... just be warned! lol But if I was to do this I would suggest this BDS kit since it comes with Fox components:

I've had bad experiences with Rough Country kits in Jeep land so I wouldn't suggest them.

Be aware that 6" lifts like these aren't easily reversible as far as I am aware since cutting is involved.

Helluva first post! Lol! I wouldn’t’ know what size tire you should get, but whatever you decide don’t forget to post pics! I know I wouldn’t do it. I'm too damn short! Welcome to TW!

Folks run 35s on a 6in lift with the right rims but you could try the Kendra tall n skinny 35s imho 285s will look to small on such a tall truck.

I have 33’s on my truck with a 4 inch lift, I think 35’s would look best with a 6 inch lift. As far as a drop bracket lift, I’ve had mine for 4 years now with absolutely no issues whatsoever.
