Good morning all. Another windy day on Saginaw Bay. Four days of wing in a row. We leave today and head back down to Clarkston MI for the night. Headed home tomorrow.

Old seadogs are also a superstitious bunch. Was working on the bridge of a ship many years ago and had a habit of whistling when working alone. Captain walked up to me with a pale look on his face and said. "Stop whistling or I'm going to throw you over the side"! Apparently it is bad luck to whistle on the bridge of a ship. Oddly enough we were trying to skirt around a hurricane and the next day it change course and ran right over us! Never whistled on a bridge since.

I'll be putting them in soon, lol. I have them but I didn't want to put them in until the painting was done.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Well, Friday is here, so back to the chore list. Last greenhouse screening, got a firewood rack to build and make room for, flux capacitor in LBR, fix the antenna....... lot's of good stuff. Going to let it warm up a little before I get to it though!

The rib recipe was great, but the results were not. BACK ribs (previously frozen and who knows how old) are not the same as BABY back. Taste was great though....yellow mustard and brown sugar rub...

:rant:You know how duct tape sticks to itself JUST FINE when you are trying to tear off a piece? Especially a longer one? Well, my "window" screens depend on a duct tape "frame" sticking to itself. SO, if I WANT it to stick to itself?

Heat gun, and seam roller. Had to do this last week, and did it again today, and one more time to finish. Melt it to itself!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch People! Another beautiful looking Friday here - go outside and do more of the same. Looks like pool weather by end of the week, but no one dares get in!

    So surprise for me.
One more trip to the lake.
Requested by a ex coworker to run his boat.

Hasn’t gotten wet in two years.
7 hours setting up the boat and trailer.
They never setup the boat or trailer right.
    So white caps.
    40° temps
    It was horrible..
Worse conditions I ever was in…
But I promised to run the boat.
And I just happened to bring my emergency fishing rod and tackle.
    (Stored away in the truck).
All my primary stuff is packed away.

    6E8E8B39-2B67-4317-9DFC-66AB83BE47FC.jpg

This is the absolute latest time of year I have ever wet a line.
    I’m beat…

Around here some of the best walleye fishing is in October. In fact the guys here will fish the Detroit River right up until ice.

Well, it's not all the work of Greg's garage, and doesn't rival Mikes catch, but I finally got the last screen panel on the darn greenhouse!

    20211019_135720.jpg

Why did I do all this spring/summer stuff when I am going to put up foam board insulation for the winter? Mainly because I want the panels to be size I will need, and not have to cut and modify next year.

And, sometimes you just need SOMETHING to be a stupid easy project. Get rid of the old BBQ wood rack, and put up one for the fireplace wood. (I'll get there!)

Low Seventies and sunny here in the not-yet-frozen north. Perfect day to dump work and and go for a ride. There are far worse ways to spend one's 66th birthday. 245913917_10159778086224414_640199799398_0a48bed7c5eec2ac51fed9d4c4aa50bb709b9242.jpg
