Consider a small tank. It will take some load off the compressor over time and will speed inflation

Thanks! A buddy has been encouraging that for the same reason you gave, but also because I’m scheduled for a regear in about 2 weeks and while they’re in there I’m adding a front air locker

For those interested, I'll lay out the parts info and some tips about install I learned the hard way, as well as some suggestions for different parts than what the "wifey system guy" lists out for this build.

I used the ARB twin. You could use any compressor, but at 5.65cfm this one is 3-4 times faster than all of the other compressors I considered.

i dont get it. you say your buddies broke a sweat kneeling at each tiring, airing up and down. but dont you have to kneel at each tire to connect the hoses? your setup is just faster at airing all 4 up at once?

No, I just lean down to quick connect briefly at each tire, then turn on the compressor and stand in the shade drinking a beer while all 4 tires air up (that's the part where they're still kneeling at each tire, airing up and checking pressure, etc). Have to be honest, I though this was partially something I was doing for fun, but found out that it was an even better mod than I expected.

The added bonus is that the entire system is connected so it automatically equalizes the pressure in all 4 tires when you are finished airing up or down.

As mentioned a bit further up, there are hose kits you can buy that don't have to be installed that will achieve the same thing.

Not for everyone, and to each his own, but I'm definitely happy with it

Pretty impressed with it as well, but I never put an inline regulator in and I think I toasted by tpms sensors. Even after reset, they don't give a reading. Ooops!

one of these days ill prob do this. It's not a critical item but it's a fun project. I build out my own moreflate type setup a few years back before it got big and its been nice to fill up and once and air down without damaging the valves which is a big plus.

If you want to take the moreflate or wifey setup to a more tech level you can also add the ARB inflation valve which allows you to set PSI and inflate and deflate via the app for set and forget functionality. I recently wired that up but also set it up so I can use with or without. Also, have a spare 5-gallon tank for fill-ups. Highly recommends adding that for extended use or possibly use of airtools.

Ill post put he setup later if folks are interested.

It's all about balancing our budgets with what we need, right? I borrowed my friends compressors for a year before I got my own!

BTW, the ARB twin is the one I bought. Much faster than the Viairs, but it ain't cheap!

    Cheers!

Thanks for the tip on that ARB valve/app combo. I'll have to check that out. Definitely considering a tank

No need to buy his system though (he lists a part list) especially considering the air chucks he recommends for the whips are horrible. They slip and leak and you have to really work to get them settled on without leaking. The Jaco lightnings are so much better. Rock solid connection and zero leaking. I learned that the hard(expensive) way. Anyone want to buy some slightly used Haltec H-5265 Standard Bore Lock-On Air Chucks? LOL

100% I'm always in favor of DIY. I did a hybrid setup between wifey and morrflate. Two quick connects in the rear wheel wells and a hose for either side to fill up front and back at same time. Not a fan of my chucks though. Will take a look at the ones you mentioned.

the haltecs are what he prefers but offer it with the other options for a cheaper setup. The haltecs are money whether you do this or not. I would add them to any setup single, 4 way, wifey or the like.

I found the Haltecs to be really shitty. That what was on the list I got from sponsoredbywifey.

surprised those things have been spot on. I would say that's one of the best parts on the list. I use those on all of my stuff. You have to make sure they are seated but once they are on they are not coming on.

You know, it could be the Schraders I bought on ebay. Maybe the thread isn't as deep as some, or the sizing is off a bit? I was surprised they didn't work out because he had specifically said in his video that the were great. Either way, thanks for chiming in.

Possibly. I know at times you need to really push them on but once they are on they are solid. Also maybe the ebay ones were not legit. I got mine off Amazon. I plan to put those on anything with a Shrader I need to lock on.
