I’m in Georgia and put a deposit on a SBDC TRD off-road. I’ve been checking the temporary vin for a few weeks and now and finally it’s no longer valid. I believe that means the truck has been produced. My salesman is very nice but he hasn’t been updating me much. Does anyone have a guess on how much longer it will be until the truck is delivered?
    Thanks in advance.

After gazing into my crystal ball and posing the question.....

    I see.......a week calendar.......with ......2 Tuesdays.

I interpret this to mean.....it comes when it arrives.

So pretty much it’s anyone’s guess?

The salesman told me he thought it would be here this Thursday back when I gave them a deposit.

Sorry that this is a dumb question. I’ve been driving a old beater 3500 work truck with a 10’ service body that I can’t wait to park.

Can't see how folks on an internet forum could predict when your truck would arrive.

Your dealer is the best source for this knowledge.

These guys here are kinda being ass-hats to you about it. The truth is your salesman doesn’t know when it will arrive. He doesn’t have any control over it. The dealership will get estimated dates of arrival when the truck is in transit. Before then, it’s anyone’s guess. My truck arrived the week after their estimated week of arrival. Hope that helps. I wouldn’t worry too much. The time will pass anyway and before you know it, you’ll be sitting in it.

Your salesman has access to the Dealer Daily where they can track the status of any vehicle they've been allocated. Mine sent me occasional screenshots so I could see where it was in the process. Transportation is so sketchy it's probably having some impact, but they could at least tell you where it is.

    This was my last update.

I was able to buy a truck that was in transit from the factory in 2020. When my deposit was applied to it it was the first week of July and it arrived on July 29th. I don't know how long it had been in transit if at all before that. So my experience says around 3-4 weeks. It has to go to the port where port accessories are added then on the the dealership. Mine was to arrive between July 27- 30th.

My situation was also the dealership looking to get a Tacoma in trade from another dealership for me and the first few sold before they could arrange it. We had been searching several weeks till they hooked on to mine. They traded a vehicle on their lot for some other dealers customer to get the just built truck they was on the way for me. It worked. The truck was exactly what I asked for.

Here in TN I made the deposit the day after Thanksgiving and got the truck on 02 April 21. The answer was always "2 weeks" away. Every story I got was sketchy. The big freeze in TX got the blame for delay, when the truck came in I saw it was Hecho en Mexico....Wish I had known to ask for the "Dealer Daily" thing - if that works let me know. That sounds like a valid Pro-Tip!
