I just carry the safe jack with the attachments no need for any of that. Like I said to each his own. I’m in the KISS mode.

Bottle. I could not remove the tire fully because it was not completely flat. As others have mentioned. If you’re on uneven ground i.e side of the interstate that the OEM jack will not be any good especially with a minor lift. This was the situation I was in.

Well if you're carrying a seperate jack from OEM then you are carrying extra stuff.

For a car, yes. For a Tacoma with any type of lift, NO:hattip:

These threads on this place seem to always turn into big arguments about garbage and nothing.
Good luck in your search and what works for you but make sure you check it out before you go anywhere.

Ah k. Works on my lifted Land Cruiser. Depends on the lift points but I just lift on the axle tube. Someone makes a cradle for Toyota OEM bottle jacks I found or a welder can make one.

That's fine, I'm not right all the time, no one is. Just spouting an opinion since this is a public forum.

My guess is it was the rear and you put it under the leaf springs perch?

Also just get a base made out of plywood for soft or rocky surfaces and you're good.

I use a Hi-lift with my lifted 4Runner - My traction boards are molded for a Hi-lift jack base to sit right in them, so it makes it a lot more stable. I hook the Hi-lift “arm” under one of my sliders and boom. I actually feel safer with this method on or off road than an overly tall bottle jack.

Here are the traction boards I use...

Can you post a pic of what you have and how it fits in the original space?

I don’t mind spending a little extra for the safe Jack, I just don’t want to carry any extra stuff with me.

Good price on those. Dunno how they compare to MaxTrax but I'm sure they help better than nothing.

I didn’t want to put it anywhere other than a flat surface without an adapter like @stevesnj mentioned earlier

Your lift doesn’t change a thing because the tires still droop the same distance. Your 32” tires make about 1/2” difference. The OEM jack should work fine if you used appropriately. Check your manual for the correct jack points. They are the bulge near your oil pan and the diff pumpkin. You might be able to get away with a few other places as well.

Yeh mine are at the axle tubes. The OEM bottle should have a sticker on it with the jack points.

For all of those arguing about the OEM jack. I have 35" tires and a 2.5" lift and the OEM bottle jack works fine. My LCA is 11.5" off the ground and my rear diff is about 10.5". The OEM Jack has a max lift height of 19". I don't need that much to change a tire.

Yeh i mentioned that earlier. Having a lift doesn't mean you need a HiLift jack. The HiLift is the least used thing i use. Used it twice pulling stumps out of the ground than even once the truck. But the OEM Is light and has multiple uses. I used it on a bent lower rear link bar to bend it straight again on the trail.

I don’t know how much I would trust this on uneven ground but to each their own.
