Just looking to confirm, does it still cut the voltage with ignition off? Was thinking maybe the vehicles with TSS/lane departure keep power active up there all the time.

It does, I was rather hoping it did not.

I got this today, hooked up, Garmin 45w cam giving message ( using garmin gps usb cable) this cable will not charge your unit, use supplied power cable ( 12 volt plug). It appears to be charging. From what I can decipher from their website it will charge just not rapidly. Going to watch it a day or two.

Can confirm that the precollison system is operating with my sinpleusb. Car in front of me stopped short and the dash light up with STOP. First time I have seen that with 400 miles on the truck.

    Ditch lights, Complete speaker replacement
You can always easily roll your own with some wire taps and some of those $2 buck converters on Amazon. This is what I did for my dashcam and radar detector setup. The buck converters I already bought for another project and I just tapped into the mirror circuit with a multimeter.

    eBoot Mini MP1584EN DC-DC Buck Converter Adjustable Power Supply Module 24V to 12V 9V 5V 3V (6 Pack)

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQGMOKI/

These are super tiny and would be easily replaced if you needed to. I understand the appeal of a plug an play device though. Just helpful to know there's other options and this would save a bit of money as an alternative solution.

I'd assume you could also roll your own plug and play if you can find the connectors on AliExpress or a similar site.

Your assumption appears to be correct. Per their ad, that adapter output current is less than 2 amps so it is not a rapid charging device.

Been using this one for a year now, works great no issues and runs my Amazon dashcam when the truck is on.

Haven't really thought about mine since I made that post back in Feb 2020. Wouldn't have if you hadn't quoted me. All is well.
