I know this will sound sexist. But no man needs to be driving a Miata.

I was waiting for these to come out as a commuter option but they took too long.

Wound up with a Camry. :bored:

Guessing you're not a solo 2 participant and have never actually even had a ride in one autocross prepped with a good driver? Or an HPDE ?

Much less a turboed or v8 conversion.

    Try it.

I enjoyed hanging the wife's high heels off the roll bar for the drivers I passed to admire.

I guess I'm just an old fart. But some things just ain't right. Man driving a Miata, VW Beetle (new version) or a Mini.
Fairer sex driving an F350 I think is cool. Just like wearing tight jeans. But the last thing I wanna see is a man in a dress.

Buddy's dad bought a convertible turbo VW Bug for my buddy's sister. When she bought something else their dad wound up keeping it because it was so much fun.

Edit: Of course he still had the classic T-bird and Excursion.

Age has nothing to do with it. I'm pushing 26k sunsets.

It's all about the driving experience it offers.

In the world of twisties and autox you don't need a ton of power to go fast. You need skill and grip.

But don't let me sway you. I drive a 5 lug.

I love the miata, excellent drivers car. An F350 is about as much a commuter as a gas powered scooter.

Sucks that used prices of every cult vehicle is going up from COVID. The old brz/frs isnt too far off in price from the 2022 premium which comes with most of the old limited’s features.

I might start obsessing over miata’s again until I re-convince myself I need the backseat.

you've clearly never driven a Miata. It's the most affordable sportster with a drop top.

I see you also have issues with MINI Coopers, my R53 supercharged mini could spank american muscle all day on the street.

Bone stock the R53 looks to be just under 7 seconds 0-60. Not too bad. But my wife's last SUV would do 0-60 in less than 4 seconds bone stock.
If you're spank'n American muscle you must be modified somewhat.

Not another engine like the 2zz. Slow enough to have fun to redline. A box & a half of kilmat and it will be quiet. Great handling.

It really tries, is cute. Good gas mileage.

Or the 6-spd which is faster and funner-er. Too much work.

    2020 86
GR 86 is also much cuter than the BRZ.

My commute was 50 miles one way I went through 3 cars in 15 years the winner was a Jetta diesel. I wanted comfort and millage I drove that one 200,000+ miles. When I retired I figured some thing close to 670,000 miles some thing to think about. When it snowed I took the old Toyota 4X4 pickup.

It was. Underdrive crank pulley and supercharger pulley. Ported and polished the supercharger and intake, hotter plugs, cold
Air intake, very sticky summer tires. I miss that stupid go kart. Sucked to work on but it was a blast

Miata good choice. Had one I put a turbo on. One of my favorites

Not sure what Acura is doing with Integra
Had a 96 GRS sedan another favorite

Wife found a 2015 Scion TC with 20k miles about a year ago. Like new condition.
    Cost was $14,500.00 I believe.

This thread gives me a backache. The new Integra will probably look good. I'm guessing it will look like an ILX coupe, given the ILX is very close to a 4dr Civic. The new TLX is nice, I like the available NSX wheel pkg.
