Lol love the title. I think many of us can relate to the TW influence.

Thanks, yeah the shell on the Tacos really fit the truck. I wasn't a fan of them on the bigger trucks, which is why I went with the Diamondback.
TBH, I don't drive a ton, so the 38 gallon tank will last me about a month. I've got a growing family so the tiny back seats of the tacoma were getting tough, the living room in the back of the Tundra is pretty amazing, but there is a bit of learning curve after driving a Tacoma for 7 years.

haha, get one man, they are great!

yeah, Tundras.com is the same way. Love how much information and advice are on these forums, its an incredible resource.

There is plenty of room in the back...heck, plenty of room in the front too!

Tundra fuel economy is 13 city/17 hwy...you must make short trips. Tacoma fuel economy: 20 city/23 hwy. I try to fill up at half tank--spending $30-$39 for roughly 10 gallons is somewhat tolerable...

    I've owned a Honda Pilot & Mazda CX-9 which both have under 20 gallon-sized tanks...3.5L & 3.7L engines respectively.

I'm close to my retirement years and expenditures are being scrutinized at this time.

Learning how to drive a Bigger truck after driving a Taco for 7 years shouldn't be too much of a change...but I would imagine it's still a challenging learning curve.

    Agree to disagree.

I'm well over 6' and the front was definitely cramped.

My 9 year old's feet were up against my seat when sitting in the back, I wouldn't call that plenty of room, but small kids and small adults I suppose would be ok.

I drive a few miles to work and back on weekdays and some fun trips on the weekends, so yeah 500 miles per tank gets me about a month.

The gas money is not a problem at this point in my professional career.

Maybe I overstated the change from one truck to another, its just a slight awareness change going to a larger truck, nothing that wasn't solved after a couple weeks of driving.

That sounded like I was talking about the Tacoma...I know it's cramped for anyone over 6' tall...I was talking about the Tundra...lol!

I sat in the back of my Taco and agree it is cramped. I have adult children so they aren't sitting in the back...it's groceries storage for the time being.

500 miles per full tank on a Tundra? My display says somewhere around 348-365 till empty on 22 gallons for the Tacoma. I guess that extra 16 gallons compensates for additional mileage.

Putting that amount of gas for me wouldn't be a problem either...I just don't think it's where I want to direct my funds to drive my truck.

I'm sure you won't have a problem transitioning to the Tundra...but there is a slight change, albeit minimal.

Enjoy your new truck...I don't want to spoil it for you discussing the economics about it.
