    Hi y'all

I'm about to purchase a new Tacoma TRD Off-Road. The market right now is crazy and at least in California where I am it seems impossible to find anything under MSRP. I found something for a bit over MSRP that fit my needs and put down a holding deposit.

If there's anything y'all think I should know, I'm happy to learn!

    I guess I've noted that:
    a) I need to find a way to tack down my tailgate (perhaps a hose-clamp)
    b) There is a phone call to make to disable the GPS telemetrics for SOS.
Any other advice would be great!

    Regards

    Welcome aboard!
I’ll be honest here, I really don’t get the tailgate anti-theft devices and hose clamp solution for 3rd gen trucks unless it’s for trucks without locking tail gates like maybe 1st and/or second gen? I’m sure someone will tell me what I’m missing here I just lock my tailgate. If someone drills out my tailgate lock well they can have at it if they go to that much trouble.

I just received my truck last week. Looking forward to fun times on trails eventually, but I first gotta learn my way around city roads with it :). I didn't get to take it out this weekend, but a sibling did.
