    A few questions about this:

    1. Who are these guys? I kinda wanna see those.
    2. I think, for me, the appeal of fitting an SSC2 inside is that it comes with an SAE High-beam auxiliary lens, and thus could be paired with the high beams and legally run on the road.
    3. Were the heat sink pins exposed at all at the back of the light housing? Is there any concern of the SSC1 overheating in the sealed space? Or worse, adding heat and causing other issues in/around the light housing?

    1. Ive seen some pics floating around, Im not sure who did them.
    2. SSC2 would definitely be nice and I think would still fit well.
    3. The heat sinks are not exposed. Not something id worry about, they dont get super hot. As far as the heat in the housing, an HID bulb gets way hotter than a pod ever will.

Some of you may have noticed my 3 week absence. I took the time off to move into my new house and get some work done in it. Im now pretty settled and and broke out some headlights today so im back at it!

Unfortunately we've been seeing some price increases over the last couple months on various parts, and earlier this month Morimoto gave all of their products a price bump. I had to adjust my prices slightly, but tried to keep it as minimal as possible. Thanks for understanding! Looking forward to getting moving on some new builds!

Adding SSC2 sports would be like $200-$225, not too bad!

Glad to see you got moved in. Love the new lights. Having new projectors in my old lights was an amazing increase in both low/high beam but with 4 high beams now it's awesome. I did go to amber demon eyes for my DRL's and everything else is off and used for turn signals. I just changed some pins so it can easily changed later.

    Just an update to these.

4 months, I have had hyper flashing one time.

    Downsides:

They are overloading/underloading the circuit, so if I DONT have my DRL's on, they only flash once or twice and the blinkers turn off. I read a similar post somewhere else on the forums that described this much better than I can. Once this circuit gets weird you have to stop/start the truck to get it to reset.

If I have my DRL's on (I have raptor lights as well), they work completely like factory. No issues. Of course since @no vtec 4me did my headlights, I have awesome amber DRL's, so I drive around with the DRL's on all the time so very little issue for me.

Long term I'm a little concerned if I need to put the hazards on or similar with the truck off. They simply will flash once or twice and shut off.

Yes it’s just an issue with the GTR bulbs.

headlights and parts from @no vtec 4me have worked great

Are you running anything special in the tails?

Ok, we have similar setups so I was just curious. In front I was running brighter turn, drl, 2 halos and side marker per side for turn signals with no issues. However I have Meso tails with resistors. :notsure:

What brighter bulbs are you running for your turn signals?

Sounds like the resistors might be the key, unfortunately I'm not willing to tap resistors into anything. Searching some other threads this morning, seems the LED bulbs underpower the circuit, so with my DRL's on it must pull just enough amps to let the turns work.

I have the new full tails from Meso coming, guessing there will be some resistors built in.

Fwiw I can't get rid of hyperflash / single flash then stop, without having the OEM front turns in place. The only thing I haven't tried is cheap LED cobs in the front turns.

    I have:
    meso v5's
    Amber "DRL turns"
    Meso stage 2 rear.

    I've tried:
adding the vled resistor and I believe that puts the system over resistance (one blink then nothing)

Just removing the front OEM halogen resistor, results in hyperflash.

I think I should buy the cheapie cobs n test.

Can't hurt to try. I've had those JDM's listed above since my first set of retrofits with no issues at all. Only thing different I have than most are the Meso custom tails. :notsure:

Any LED headlight retrofits? I may need to send you mine again if they weren't such a pain to install/remove.
