    It has arrived!

I hear only 5% of Tacomas have a manual transmission? So that means I’m better than 95% of you?

    Ha, kidding…it’s probably 97%

In all seriousness happy to finally be part of the club.

There are other things I prefer to use my hands for than shifting.

    ...like texting and driving! Lol

If you can't drive, smoke, eat, and use your phone while shifting you ain't nothing. Did that all the time in high school.

Although if I tried that now I would probably end up eating the smoke, breathing the cheeseburger, and dropping the phone...

Congrats! My first car was manual and I taught all my friends how to drive a manual as automatic was taking over. When you hit my (our) age, it's better to kick back and use one foot and one hand (says the guy who was motorcycle only in his 50's). Anyway, if you insist on a manual transmission, drive it like you stole it. Enjoy

Congrats. I picked up my MT OR a few weeks ago. The only reason I did not consider vehicles other than a Taco was the MT. As I have a 97 Taco that has been great, the MT issue made the choice very easy.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I wouldn't say "better". Happier, sure, with more of an appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, but "better"..? Naw.

In order to drive a manual you have to be smarter than the transmission.

If Toyota still built a 5spd 4cyl, or a V6 6spd SR/SR5 AC or DC, or even a V6 6spd OR AC with a manual transmission. The world would be inhabited by more better people.
