This ^^^^. My favorite is Key West. If you are a fan of the author Hemingway take a tour of Hemingway House. And if you like cats you’ll really like Hemingway House. I always stop at Jimmy Buffett’s for a drink and buy a T-shirt. The bikini gazing is extraordinary, if you have a weak heart be sure to bring your heart pills. Just don’t go in July or August when humidity is so thick you can swim through the air. An airboat tour of the Everglades is also awesome. If you go post some pics. Have fun.
Almost forgot, take a bus tour of Kennedy Space Center. Very cool tour.

Well the roofers came buy and prepped the roof. Ice and water shield, synthetic roofing paper, starter shingle, and drip edge all the way around. Now it can rain (tonight) and I'll be ok.

Shingles go on Sunday, I'll be so relieved when the roof is done.

Lookin' snazzy! I can relate to your trepidation, having grown up on the other side of the state. It has snowed on me on Halloween! Among other October and November surprises!

Plan on a simple salt and water brine. Inject with no salt butter, maple syrup, and a chipotle rub. Use leftover injection liquid as a baste during the smoking. Cook on the WSM at 325 degrees until done.

If you are looking to the west Gulf coast Clearwater is nice and relaxing.

Looks and sounds like you are doing it right! Should be good for another 30 to 35 years.

Going to be a lazy day today. LOL

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Thanks for the info Tom - I will run that by the wife - just a little different. Finish up under the big top today!

But it's all back in there. It wasn't as bad as it looked inside, trying to replace the old wire with the new. On the right side of the glovebox, the rubber boot can be seen right at the end of the old cable. And to try to stave off the inevitable corrosion of dissimilar metal, a little anti-seize.

I tried to start the ragtop M37 Power Wagon yesterday. No bueno... It's not getting fuel and starting fluid never got more than a sputter. The truck has been sitting since '03 according to the previous owner. It had two, what looks like "brand new" Interstate batteries in it so I suspect it was running when parked. $260 bucks for the cheapest replacement batteries I could find. Ouch! Fiddling with the fuel system in a limited way makes me think it is clogged tight with gunk. So I'll end up dropping the tank and trying to flush the lines with pressurized air. What I really need is the worlds longest pipe cleaner. Probably have to remove and clean the fuel pump and the carburator too. That's a lot of work for a truck I just want to sell. But I need something to do anyway, and twisting wrenches is better than sitting in front of the TV.

So I just returned from my first vacation since this madness started. Went to Reno to see UH play Nevada. Yes, had to fly all the way to Reno to see a game in person, can't do that here. (won't go any farther with this lest I get banned) It was just so awesome to get off the rock!

Did my second covid test this morning, and it's negative. After going to the game, and in the casinos for five nights being exposed to thousands, I would say the vaccine works.
    Be safe all.
    Aloha

So, today, I installed the Flux Capacitor I mentioned! I think I need to calibrate it.....

Static battery connection only (OFF) and ...
I was in the Sixties, just like that.

So, I fired up the truck a while later to try and get back...
I made it to the 2000's.

    :anonymous:

Seriously, only space I had was here under the driver seat

    Perfect - done by noon!

Dang it! The bottom seat adjuster hits the cap. Won't go side by side either. Took every mm of space I had...

That's what I did in my 09. The amp is under the drovers seat and the XM receiver is under the passengers seat. Bought a cable to hook into the existing XM antenna. That part of the install was a breeze. I installed a set of Boston component speakers for the front door and tweeter locations. Since I have an EX cab I did not bother with installing rear speakers. The hardest part was installing the wiring from the amp to the speakers and installing the sound deadening materials in the doors and on the floor. Since I did not install a sub woofer I did not need the said Flux capacitor.

Have a great weekend everyone. Going to get a flu shot today.

    Morning all!!

Does anyone have/use a battery powered leaf blower?

Looking for one with about 200/200+ mph.

My corded one is good but the cord has always been a pia.

I'm just wondering if there's a good one out there, I'm sure there is but I don't put much belief in the reviews that are on the internet.
I'm looking for real world thoughts...without starting a pissing contest.

As far as price, I'm flexible.

    TIA

I'm impressed by the considerable efforts to get SXM into the trucks. I'm lazy; I use the app on my phone and the aux input. :anonymous:

I've been slowly outfitting our new garage with shelving and storage units and whatnot. Yesterday I picked up a DeWalt shelving unit. I wanted it because it looked like it was sturdily made, and I foresee it being the repository of stuff like transmissions and other dirty heavy things. Well, this thing is sturdy and then some. Worth. Every. Penny.

Just the way it was packaged was EXTREMELY impressive. I gave up having heavy things shipped directly to the house over a year ago, due the amount of damage the packages suffered in transit; I changed over to ordering them into a big-box store like Home Depot ( @HomerTaco ) and picking them up there, in the hope that the package would avoid some of the handling woes. It worked, mostly. But this DeWalt packing job was so good that I would not hesitate to have the 75+ pound package delivered to the house. Really, really good. Then there's stuff like the metal thickness and sturdiness of various components. It truly lives up to the DeWalt name for sturdiness.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! And it's Friday for sure now! Quick mow (no trim), Lowe's and the store. That time of year where a trim holds the edge enough to two weeks. See if I can blast LBR back into the present, maybe even the future!

The XM part of my new audio was less painless than my upgrade of the upgrade! A little adapter for the new head unit when I had it installed. I did relocate the antenna end the installer put on the dash, up to the center front of the roof. The upgrade upgrade added some speakers (to be improved sometime), the two amps (bass unit shown, main under passenger), and two 10" Kicker subs in a box behind the back seat. That was fun - everything except the carpet came out!

I have a Ridgid Job-Site blower that I got when I got all Ridgid battery tools. I use it weekly for clippings and neighbors leaves. Newer ones are great, and I would get an E-Go because I have their trimmer. Buy a major battery competitor, and I will bet you be happy!

I've been using an 18V Ryobi from Home Depot but it's only 110mph. It works great for my small yard and all the droppings from my Live Oak in fall and winter here in Florida. Keep in mind the batteries often cost as much/more than the tool. I standardized on Ryobi for the range of tools and the relatively low cost. Drills, saws, hedge trimmer, blower, etc. They all work for the relatively simple tasks I ask of them.

If I'm lucky, I'll be able to catch the last couple weeks of archery in December.

Dang, another doe just came out, at least they aren't all dead YET from the midge flies that are killing them.
