Has anyone ever experienced a buzzing noise coming from under the rear of their truck while its off? My truck has been parked and off for several hours so not sure what this is.

No for me either, especially 5 hours or so after the engine is turned off.

Ok , I feel bad being sarcastic... its normal- and we all have experienced it. Just check page 8 of the drivers manual.

This has been covered in some other threads but it is probably this. From the owners manual:

Where do you live? it's probably the fuel tank depressurizing/adjusting. Remember, temp expands/contracts the fumes to the point they can deform their containers so newer vehicles have valves to control the pressure.

I was freaking out and wondering if I needed to pull it out of the garage before I go to bed so I wouldn't burn my house down. Thanks everyone!!

Yeah the first time you hear that it is a bit unnerving, almost sounds like the fuel pump kicking on.

Actually mine never done it. Have drove long time, got home and pack it in the garage and worked in the garage for 6-7 hours next to it and never heard any sounds coming from it. Done this a few times. Also went fishing and pack it next to me for a long time and was quiet.
    I have a lemon

Oh that’s either rats eating your harnesses, or the injector cleaning cycle. :)

There should be some sort of sticky when you first come on TW 3rd gen that says in bold
"BUZZING FROM REAR IS OK, YOUR TRUCK IS NOT GOING TO BLOW UP"

Not to be a smart ass because many people post asking about it, but so everyone knows it happens and its normal. Because the first time you hear it and aren't sure what it is, you are like "WHAT THE F*!@". I know that's what I thought when I first heard it.

When we first had bought our car, the damn thing made noise after we turned it off: the fan wouldn't turn off. I was wondering what the hell it was since we had JUST bought the thing. turned out the fan keeps running until turbo and coolant temp gets to a certain temp.

Wrote this in another thread but hey I'll ask again, does this ever stop or can you turn it off?

There are some preconditions that have to be met besides time. The gritty details are in the attached.

I decided to try the damper and honestly it did help ..im about to buy 2 more and see if it helps even more..im actually surprised it helped as much as it did .using a 3/8 u bolt I accidently knocked out the dry ass rubber thats around the hole on the damper but it still worked just fine. Think i used a 2 1/4 or 2 1/8 hanger??? Autozone let me take a few out and mock it up .20211020_185148.jpg
