I see I can search by dealer, but isn't there a way on toyota.com to search larger regions?

As far as Toyota.com you would just enter a zip code for that region.

Dealers can search for, and sometimes modify vehicles prior to delivery. Toyota offers each dealer 'allocations' that are somewhat flexible rather than direct inventory. They also ship and trade vehicles between each other efficiently. These things go for pretty much sticker anyway, so I'd recommend letting a dealer do the work for you if you're looking to buy new. My truck was shipped in (new) from another dealer in exchange for another vehicle from my dealers allocation pipeline.
