Do your hangers work with any leaf packs? Or are they specific to a certain one?

It will be very close to same height as stock. But don't be afraid of rear lift, it's how you gain bump travel so you aren't hitting bumpstops all the time

Yes, Hammer hangers work with any leaf packs.

Note the OME Dakars have a design flaw were the 2nd/3rd leaves extend inside the shackle. When you articulate the axle at all, these leaves scrape and cut up the shackles, even when used with their brand shocks. They used their design from the Hilux with its shackles-in-compression style and it doesn't work on the Tacoma's shackle-in-tension. That's why you hear everyone say they squeak, its metal on metal scraping.

I’d just like to add that installing hammer hangers was the single biggest improvement to the ride quality of my truck out of any suspension upgrade I’ve done. Also, the install is not as daunting as some make it out to be. It took me no more then 2 hours to remove the factory hangers and rivets from both sides of my truck using an angle grinder, cordless drill and an air hammer.

Guess I was just worried about how it would look. The back being up more than the front but maybe it’s not noticeable if it’s very minuscule.

I just picked some up so I hope they do make a difference as everyone is saying.

If it does it will be 100% worth it.

@Sungod What do you think would cause this, inside tire wear, with some spots more worn than others? Alignment off? Bad tie rod? Both?

Alignment is the problem and the alignment could be off because of a bad tie rod. Your alignment could be off and the tie rod good, but if your tie rod is bad, your alignment will be off if that makes sense. It could also be a number of other part. Being a rear wheel drive your toe is typically slightly positive meaning they are pointing inward. When you are driving the pushing from the rear causes them to open slightly when everything is tight. When your have worn parts, they open more or think duck footed. This is what causes that inside wear. Now what causes it in some spots more than others is that your tires roll in the direction they are pointed and have to scrub back since they are connected so what happens as you go straight your tires want to go the direction they are pointing and that is what causes the wear. Looking at your tires, looks like you got your money out of them. Just make sure when you get new tires you get and alignment and if there is something worn, you will find out.

Yikes, that is some negative toe! How bad was scalloping on those front tires? Camber was slightly out of spec. Might have contributed slightly, but being right on the edge of the spec it was probably in spec most of the tires life. The uneven wear was caused mostly by toe.

I noticed tire wear immediately after getting the truck. Had two alignments at the dealer one under the warranty one I paid for. Still had wer on the outer treads on the front tires if you moved your hand on the tread towards the back of the tire the tread was jagged. Both times the SA said the alignment was within specs. The same wear continued and needed a third alignment. The SA finally said I need to go to an alignment shop that knows better of what they are doing. The SA said all they do is get the alignment to show within the green specs. In San Diego took it to Clarence Brown alignment and was finally fixed. The tech showed me how off the alignment was from Toyota of Escondido. All this over 2.5 years and only 8,000 miles.

So not sure why 2 different places have 2 different sets of readings???

And yes, the scalloping was pretty bad.
