I have a SR 4x4 with a 2.7 and 5 spd. I own it outright and I'm happy.

 

Electric automobiles and trucks have no transmissions. Electric motors produce a consistent amount of torque at any given RPM within a specific range. Ever drive an electric golf cart or forklift?

Ford made an electric Mustang with a manual transmission - The Verge

I believe there was a Tesla Sports car that had a couple gears and a Porsche also. Ford had a concept Electric Mustang with a Manual Gearbox so there is still hope for people to have a little fun still.

 

That's probably one of the most bulletproof Tacoma's, I would hang onto that one!

when you have done that, no synchros and driven a three on the tree, then you have driven a manual. Most of my family had to learn to drive a manual before they could get their license. After shifting for most of my life and in traffic, I really like my auto now.

I'm here for the "Friday" but its Thursday MT group therapy session. Where we tell one another that we're better than those AT guys because we're the minority and that makes us more rare and how we're specialists in the art of multitask driving where our super human ability allows us to use all four limbs at the same while those lazy AT owners don't have the focus or proper hand eye coordination to operate a shifty stick doodad and a third pedal thingamajiger.

Yep, I pulled the TRD/OR sticker off, so I can replace it with a 2 ft, reflective red 'MT.'

 

He was clearly coming from whole foods in his manual to pickup whatever grass vegans eat.

 

I daily drove stick cars for nearly 25 years. Put another way, for all but less than 2 years since the summer of 1987, I have owned one or more stick cars. Still own a 2001 T/A 6-speed I bought new.

That said, I’m over driving them daily.

When it comes time to sell mine, in a decade or so, I will probably advertise it on Craigslist in a US city where it would be ultra rare.
