I just got a brand new 2021 TRD Sport Tacoma. Might I add, I'M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH MY TRUCK!

Coming from a Jeep Wrangler world... I might add it was extremely difficult to get rid of.

I had 2 Wranglers, yet both had problems. This last jeep had clutch and transmission issues - from the get go of buying brand new, in 2017.

As sad as it was getting rid of my Wrangler, I honestly needed a truck, because I have a horse trailer, in-which I wanted to tow.

Being Tacoma's wheren't really possible originally, I decided to buy a brand new 2021, Nissan Frontier Pro 4X, The Frontier had nice lines, 311 HP, and could tow the needed weight.

Bought the Frontier in June, with the excitement to start the upgradesI, looking high and low, I realized they have zilch available for aftermarket parts. Completely shocked; considering it's been around, and unchanged forever, as-well as being a truck. Couldn't believe it. During this time, i just didn't have the excitement I usually get when driving.

Got online again; looking once more for a Tacoma. But this time I broadened my search, reaching out with a bunch of questions. I was told, I could place an order for one I wanted, except two colors that where being discontinued. Of course I really loved those colors. My luck☹️. I went ahead and placed my order for a 2022 white Tacoma.

One day, a few weeks later, I was online and found a Tacoma stating it was "in transit," which was perfect. I knew trading in the Frontier I just bought, I'd substantially lose money on it, but figured, being brand new, now was the time, as I'd get more for it, then if I waited a year or so?

TheTacoma in transit, had the moonroof on it, which I really wanted, but couldn't afford to add to my original order, as the package tacked on another $5100. I was floored because it came with all these extra items, that made it absolutely what I originally wanted, for the same price.

Long story shortened, I am now the proud owner of a Tacoma - having all the extras I had wanted. now this seems like a 'real' truck. I honestly didn't think I would be able to settle with anything other than my Wrangler, but I love, love, love it. Sadly, I won't be able to do any mods for awhile, because of losing money on the Frontier. it will take time to recoop.

So far I've added a roof rack, and mudflaps to my truck. on the list first and foremost:
    winch bumper
    wheels and tires
    exhaust
    lift
    ...

    What a story!

First, congrats on the TRD Sport! I have a ‘21 Sport in Midnight Black.

At least you’ve got the roof rack! I’m still trying to finagle my wife to justify my purchase but she’s not seeing it clearly…lol

I got my side steps, and mud flaps…and squeezed red letter cutouts, chrome black tailpipe & quicklift for my hood…she asked, “how often do you open the hood?” I’m like, “honey, I check the oil once a week.”

But this is about your new Sport…apologies for dumping my drama on here! Lol

    Next up…pics!!!
