I added the CBI steel T3 with center hoop. (TSS radar is still good with OR grill) It appears to have serval additional brackets and attachment points to the frame vs several other mfg designs. Others are probably correct ARB would take a hit better, but that is because of its giant nose hanging out there. I saw another thread someone with a regular steel bumper hit a cow and most of the damage was busted headlights and a some panel damage.

Bumper and hardware was 110lbs, but 30lbs of factory HW came off. So only 78lb net increase. It was noticeable on stock suspension, but 5160 shocks with 650lb springs makes it nice. Throwing a winch in there basically doubles the weight, so avoid that unless you actually need it then the weight stays manageable.

Whatever you get, don’t make it easier for the deer to be thrown up over your hood and through the windshield!

Had a call a number years ago where the deer entered through the windshield by the driver’s A post and landed on its left side between the driver and passenger. Then kept kicking the driver in the face and head with its rear hoofs until it died. We had to send the driver to a trauma center due to the severe head injuries from the deer’s hoofs.

Yup! We had a burro do that too, through the windshield and out the back window - right between the driver and front seat passenger, eviscerating all over them on its way through! No major injuries though, they were lucky.

I have lived in deer country most of my life.
First never have your high beams on as it will blind him and he may jump towards or just stand there in confusion. The color of their hides change to darker in the Fall so they are hard to see. If you see one slow down cause chances there are more behind him. Drive very carefully in wooden areas and take your time or it will cost you deerly.
