New Member, Older 1st Gen

Hi, just joined here, though I have searched and found valuable information in the past. I bought my 98 SR5 in used/abused condition in 2016 and have done a bit of work to bring her back up to reliable snuff.



I bought it to be my adventure bike hauler, primarily. Currently in research mode to add storage and camping comfort (just put money down for a Super Pacific).

Color: Purple
Drivetrain: stock, though long story it has, essentially, a new engine, new stock springs, shocks
Transmission: 5 speed manual

Just don't look too close ... some her previous owners were not particularly nice to her.

 

LOL dont worry ive got a 98 with 94k miles thats in need of some body work.. nothing extensive. but it was indeed used as a truck

actually other than being black and a TRD offroad SR5. its not much different from yours.

 

Some of those "blemishes" I totally don't mind because, yeah, it's a truck for hauling.

v6 auto? These trucks really arent old, they run forever if you put oem parts back in. Ive got a 97 a 95 & an 01 my 95 has 300k so does my 01 my 97 has 240xxx miles, all of them are in great condition with only oem fluids and parts, I maintain them well.

that’s a very very rare mystic purple first gen

if you ever plan on selling check out Cars&Bids.com because the founder of the website, Doug DeMuro, has a thing for rare Toyota models

 

V6, 5 spd manual. This one has over 300k.

 

After I bought this one, I have seen a few. Most recently there is one a couple blocks away from me.
