vacuum hoses size

    96 Tacoma 3.4L V6

    I want to replace all my vacuum hoses.

    The several smaller ones I think are 3.5mm ID. 3mm tubing won't go on, and 4mm tubing is not snug. I had bought some 3.5mm online and it fit well, but I need to get more. I'm just super confused on how it can be 3.5mm because everything I've read on this forum and elsewhere says they're 4mm and definitely metric. I don't get it.

    Utility Shell, Ultra 062 wheels, bilstein 5100, OME880 coils, wheelers progressive AAL, Whiteline LCA bushings, poly sway bar and steering rack bushings, led dash cluster, shifter bushings, 4runner mirrors.
    I found it very hard to find out as well, so you’re not alone in that. Wish i had more info Good luck!

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    For what it is worth I just bought 100' rolls of 3/16", 1/4"and 5/16" ID which has worked for me.

    There might be larger hoses which I just bought from Toyota .

    halfbid - Snagged the $40 one on ebay, thanks! I'm fine spending for OEM parts to avoid hassle.

    Gyrkin - What does that 6mm hose connect to? I see you linked a couple 3mm and one 6mm.

    Do you remember where you used the 6mm and 8mm hoses? I'm barely familiar enough with stuff to know that the small hoses are vacuum and some other large ones are coolant, fuel, or electrical. Once I have all parts and tools I might need I'm going to try to replace my IAC valve (the most intimidating job I've ever done on my truck) and want to be prepared with new hoses.

    I don’t remember off-hand. Any hose that doesn’t have a clamp, just slides on, is likely a vacuum hose.
