    Hi all,

I have a 2009 RWD Tacoma with about 90,000 miles. Between 25 & 30 MPH and also between 35 & 40 MPH (at modest acceleration that would be used in city driving) there's a pretty heavy vibration in the whole cab. It's enough that it feels like you're driving over bumpy road. Anyone have any ideas what might causing this?

First thought would be a u-joint that is either out or stiff, you would have to take the driveshaft down to check them unless one is obviously out or rusted.

Thanks! I've had the same thought. I'll take it in to get it checked out.

I just went though this on my 2006 PreRunner. I had a significant vibration between 50-65mph. Since I'd just had a broken U-joint and cheaped out and only replace the one, I went back and replaced the other 2 and the carrier bearing as well. It didn't fix the vibration though. I ended up replacing both front wheel bearings and that did fix it and the truck is much quieter as well.
