Planning to change the wheel/tire setup. I have a little rubbing with the current 285/70R17 tires and the ride is very stiff. I’m attaching pics of the front and rear suspension and fender height measurements. It looks like there’s a spacer in front. Not sure if leaf springs in back are stock or has more been added? Do you think the stiff ride is from the tires or suspension. Appreciate any advice.

Looks to be just a leveling spacer lift in front, no lift in the back.

Any thoughts on the rough ride? Tires or suspension?

Most likely you are running a "e" rated tire at 285/70/17
They are most likely the reason for the rough ride, what is tire pressure set at?

According to Mastercraft's website that is an E load tire.

Looks like 1.5 or 2 in the front. The 285 looks stuffed in there so it’s not too big of a lift

That seems high but my tires aren't quite that big. Running 32 psi @ 265/70/17.

I’m going to pull the Venomrex VR602 with 265/70R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers off my 4Runner and put them on the Tacoma to check looks/ride. I’m going to go with those wheels, just trying to decide tire size. Is there a 285 that isn’t E rated but still aggressive look?

spacer up front probably give you the rough ride plus the worn tires. lower the pressure a bit and see if that helps!

E load mud terrains and a spacer lift will deff make the truck ride like crap.

Put the size you want in at Tire Rack. That will list out load ranges for you and at least give you an idea.

Definitely do the swap off the 4runner. At least you can rule out if it tire related or lift related. You don't say how long you had the truck but do not expect it to ride like a 4Runner (assuming its a newer 4Runner).

Had Tacoma a few months. Not expecting this to ride smooth like the 4runner limited. Also have an fj so understand not smoothest rides but this things just jolts ya and the slightest bump

How many miles on the Tacoma? I noticed mine seems to be a bit rougher as well. Thinking it’s time for suspension overhaul.

Stock you are 20 inches from Center of hub up to fender on the front and 22 inches in the back

That's your issue. Lower that tire pressure to 33 to 35.

Is there an Add A Leaf? Earlier someone posted just a spacer up front. Thx for the advice on the tire pressure. Glad to know it’s not just bad suspension. 225k miles on this one
