    ACCESS CAB--NO BACK SEATS
    Hi Everyone,
I said new but I bought my Tacoma new in Sept 2019.
It is the Access Cab (no back seats) 4 cylinder pretty basic truck but so far
a great little truck. I like the way they designed it so that you feel like you are in a much bigger truck.
I have a couple of issues with the truck that I will put out to anyone who may have the same issues.
#1 My truck has a skip or hesitation from time to time that reminds me of the old days when a plug misfired or the gas mixture or feed had a slight burp. My dealership could not experience it when they drove it and just said it is characteristic of that Model.
I don't buy it A brand new truck should not have a hesitation problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
#2 At times in 4th gear (this is a 6 speed automatic) it seems like it is hung and will not shift. It does this rather frequently on two certain hills in my area. And no matter how much i try to help it change, it lingers for the longest in this gear. It worries me but again the dealership said on the same day they test drove it that it is characteristic of this model.
I like this truck very much but if I had know to expect these two issues I would never have bought a Toyota. I would have stayed with Nissan or Chevrolet. I've considered trading it in but it only has 6000 miles and is still very new in appearance and mechanics.
Any comments will be much appreciated.

Welcome! For the second issue, I had a lot of similar issues especially going downhill. I took it to the dealership 2 times for them to do a transmission TSB/ flash on it. It worked and no issues since.
