So, I started installing my suspension lift today and when I got to the rear, I pulled out the angle grinder expecting to do some cutting. I did a dry fit with the factory leafs and the AAL kit and the factory spring clips didn't get in the way at all. My Icon AAL came with the nut at the base of the centering pin instead of the top and instead of that metal thread protector, it was a clear rubber tube.

For those that got their Icon AAL kit within the last few months, did you guys experience this too? The only thing I had to cut was the centering pin that was super long after bolting the leaf springs down.

That's good to know. May be doing this in the future and the cutting part I wasn't looking forward to. This is the 3 leaf AAL right?

Interesting. It kind of worried me. I thought I was doing something wrong. lol. I made sure they were facing the correct way and everything numerous times.

3 dots? Like paint dots or do you mean something engraved or embossed on it? I didn't see anything like that on mine.

Ya, well me and a friend. I have done several lifts, but never with leafs, he has way more experience in that arena. We will be doing the blist 5100s at the same time.

Did mine in late July and this was also my experience. Clear rubber tube over the threads of the centering pin. Had to cut the oem leafs.
