When parked at home the head unit gets WiFi from my home network. The play store is on the head unit already so just downloaded it from the play store.

I contacted DHL yesterday to check and it's still in processing mode. I sent Joying an email and they replied back to wait 3-5 more days to show some movement

Looking at their website they have a check box specifically asking if you have a JBL system. So I am assuming it will work just fine, I plan on waiting for black Friday for any deals then puling the trigger.

I went with the 8" with knobs. Happy with my choice and I'm not the biggest fan of giant screens in vehicles. It's a very nice size and nice to have knobs.

If there was a way to finger swipe volume control on the screen easily I probably would have gone with the 9". It's something that I would guess will be possible at some point but I tried to do it with nova launcher out of curiosity but couldn't do it that way.

Ah good to know. I definitely want knobs haha. So 8" is the largest screen that comes with physical knobs?

Hey guys, just installing the 10.5 today and was having some sound issues/questions.

1.No sound coming out of speakers at all. 2014 sport non JBL. Waiting on response from joying.
2.I see that people aren’t using the factory metal support bracket to hold the radio in. Does that mean just relying on the plastic tabs? I’m a little concerned for off-roading and all the shaking.
    3. The old radio had the xm radio?? thing mounted to the bottom, that doesn’t get re-installed correct?

On the top of the computer there is a pin out for the audio. I would trace that first to troubleshoot.

Im lookiing for a simple way to attach it as well. You can use the bracket but I believe you can only fit one screw on each side. Even then it still shakes pretty good. Fortunately its a light unit.

Theres no way to attach the XM module as it is to the computer without a lot of hacking together. Basically impossible.

I hooked a voltmeter up to my factory entune 2014 touchscreen, drove around, and found that it constantly provided 6v power to my factory backup camera. I could never not get a reading off it. I assumed this meant its powered all the time. So I connected the factory camera in the same way, fed 6v from a LM7806 Voltage Regulator that is powered from pin 1 (illum circuit) on the 28pin connector, continuously powering the camera.

So Im not sure if theres any reason to power the backup camera off of switched signal power like some other comments have suggested. At least for the case of a 2014 entune unit.

I also have a natika 12v camera on my front bumper but that one is only powered when its switched on. I wonder which one will last longer...

edit: Has anyone got all the steering wheel controls to work through software or an adapter?
I can only go next song, change volume, phone/unphone, home.

No use of center selection, return, or fastforward/rewind...
