I was wondering if someone more experienced in this could look at my diagram and let me know if I’ve missed any major steps to wiring things up
I plan to add 2 pods to one switch and a 20 in bar to a second
Using a t tap to steal the dimming from the Qi charger switch

Why not just buy a premade harness

For the experience of doing it myself and learning a new skill!
    It seems relatively simple enough
Just trying to get feedback on the wiring layout if others have done the same

Looks fine. I’ve done a few with ground switched buttons so you don’t have to do in cab add a fuse. Also kmorgan3 has plug and play switch illumination harnesses which might save the dreaded T tap.

I messaged kmorgan3 this morning about the harness/using the daisy chain to tap into the dimmer. Still waiting to hear back. I don’t wanna t tap but if it’s only one wire I’m not too worried

And the add a fuse on the switch in the cab is just so it will be keyed and not an open circut tapping into the cigaret lighter or the injectors fuse. Without it would it always be hot?

Yeah if you want it ignition only then in cab add a fuse is one easy way. Ground switched would be always hot unless you tap ignition in the engine bay which is harder.

For switch illumination you want two leads so you get the dimming from PWM - too, so it’s not just one wire but two there.

and then there is the option for sealed relays…

Kmorgan3 got back to me and is making me a harness solution that is going to work perfectly with no t taps
That along with my diagram is what I think I’m gonna go with
minus the bottom t tap and ground replaced with Kmorgan3's custom harness
But I’m always open to others ideas!
