Curious why you want to remove it.

My mechanic replaced the air conditioner core, and lights been on ever since. He's had a stroke few days afterward, so he is out of the picture. I bought a diagnostic scanner. Has a hard fault that wont clear. I think it didn't get plugged in properly.

Ouch. Not sure how to access that airbag on the 3rd Gens but make sure you disconnect the battery first to avoid having the airbag go off accidentally once you start trying to access it.

Frankly.....I wouldn't dick around with it.

Suggest to take it to Toyota.

The air bag system is a complex system involving sensors, seat belts, ECU, MCU and other misc. items. You could easily mess up to deploy ALL the air bags in the truck.

Its more complex than just removing a part.

    list is growing fast
There’s a procedure for resetting it, something like door open, door closed, sitting in the seat, plug back in… take it to Toyota, or at least call them to get the procedure.

my body shop almost couldn’t clear the same codes/lights, until they called Toyota.
