A small doe got hit by a truck Fri morning just 100 yards from my driveway.

    Tonight the squirrels were active.

I haven’t caught up on the posts since I have like 8 pages to catch up but… I have this sight and I would suggest making sure it’s 100% dialed in and then setting it at 25 yards. That way if you have a deer at say 15, 20, 30, etc. and can’t change it you can at least hold a little higher or lower to accommodate for the couple of yards difference. Anyway, that’s what I do.

So I know this isn’t a monster by any means but still a solid buck and with light fading I just made sure he was at least outside his ears since I couldn’t see the rack in great detail. I don’t know about where you guys are, but here VA there’s chasing and snort wheezing etc. happening here. I took some vids of 2 young 8’s both tearing tress up 15 yards from the stand. I’ll try and upload if I can. I’ll share some pics real quick though. I don’t to get out much because of school so this year has been blessed!

Where the hell you at in Virginia watching them chase? I’m around Lynchburg now and have seen nothing.

And with my hha if I put it on 27 I can shoot to 32 yards and not be off more than 2” so I can’t complain.

Snuck out last night for one more shot at that buck I had in range the other night. Had the smaller buck he was with come in real close but he winded me and headed off the other direction. Never caught sight of the one I wanted.

Won’t be back in VA for a week now. Might try to get out in Kentucky the next couple days.

I was on a small piece of land in Fauquier county. They were going crazy the night before that even more. My deer processor said he’s been getting lots of people saying the same!
