    Hello gang,

Just had my aftermarket TRD Pro Grill installed + Garnish in my 2020 Sport Tacoma. When installing the sensor, I noticed that the two screws on each side of the of the sensor go in perfectly, but the top silver one on the of the sensor don’t. Simple stays loose. Being so, I took it off afraid of loosing it during off-roading.

Did anyone had issues like this? Any issues with the sensor?

Mine did the same thing. I've had it installed for over a year and I've had no issues with it.

D84CEED7-22E5-4C75-AF92-060A5D549066.jpg I bought my imitation grill from Taco Garage. They offered an OEM garnish but it was REALLY expensive (artificially expense thanks to Toyota). They also offered a knock-off garnish for much less money but it was out of stock. So I then went to eBay and bought the cheapest $29 garnish I could find. I figured for that amount I could afford the risk. Everything installed as it should and I’ve had zero issues (knock on wood).

I just installed my aftermarket grill from Overland Depot today. Install was easy. I only had to use one screw mount for the TSS.

Just installed mine, both aftermarket, via the TacoGarage. It only had provisioning for the top silver screw, not the two black side ones. Haven’t had to use any washers yet.

    What... is that true?
I haven't see theirs, but it should have slots on each side to accept the metal nuts from your old grill.
I can't imagine just using the one small screw.

You got me second guessing myself, lemme pull the whole grille assy off real quick and verify for certain. Be back in a jiffy. I’ll take a pic either way.

I just watched a video showing their grill.
You need to pull the metal nuts from your old grill and snap them into your new grill.
Nice thing is that it only takes a second to pull it off.

That makes sense then. I was wondering wtf. I watched the video by TacoTwonz and I really don’t remember him ever mentioning such a thing.

here’s how I just had it installed:

How'd you guys push this all the way in? I tried using a 10mm socket to forcefully push with all my might, extension with light hammering & all, it couldn't push in all the way. Prying/removing the old one from the non-garnish cover it came with was frustrating to take off since it would dig into the plastic rods holding it together.

Also, my top silver screw didn't fit or thread in as well. Left it off. Will test TSS sensor tomorrow during work commute.

Mine didn’t push all the way down. The OEM grille and garnish has just a little play in it if pushed from the front. Don’t push too hard on the washers or it could break the tab

    Thank you for confirming.

Ran the new grill during a 40+ mile commute yesterday. Can confirm TSS, cruise control radar ran perfectly, as it did with the OEM grill, no errors or modifications in positioning of the sensor. Was basically plug & play. Purchased it from Yotagarage just in case anyone was wondering. Seems each vendor carries a different model of the TRD aftermarket garnish & grill.
