Time to start pushing back on no turn signal buttheads !

I’m not even kidding since putting my ARB on people are noticeably more likely to get out of my way, whether it’s a merge or someone going slow on a back road. My driving style hasn’t changed, I’ve always driven fast and assertively but never aggressively but I guess a full bull bar in the rear view is enough for people to actually use pull outs(for the record I always get out of the way of sports cars and motorcycles, I’ve had fast stuff I get it).

now the Taco’s my first nice off roader, nothing worked better for getting people to move than my beater Range Rover Classic

 

I have a guy at 4:30 almost every morning flashes his lights even though we're still nearly a quarter mile apart, my fog lights are on and he even drives a 2016 up red Tacoma...

 

Well, if you are getting flashed something is wrong.
Have you checked you aim? Do you have high power lights in?

man’s seriously, fog lights do NOTHING if it isn’t foggy. It does make it much brighter for oncoming traffic however

 

Agree with the brightness effect on oncoming drivers.
One of my biggest peeves - folks who turn the fog lights on once and NEVER turn them off. After that it's those who want to know how to ALWAYS have their fogs on - low OR high beams.
The excessive brightness is an issue as one gets older and the eyes' ability to readjust after a passing an oncoming vehicle starts to decline. Yes, I know there are techniques for dealing with this (e.g. focusing on the right side white line or guardrails) but it still pisses me off.
Fog lights are great - I use them occasionally - WHEN IT'S FOGGY!

 

folks think more light more better. Heck, too much foreground lighting can actually decrease visibility for the driver.

I learned a long time ago to just let them in, quietly curse their existence, and go about your day.

People go off on rants about how "everyone" is such a bad driver now, and everyone is angry blah blah blah. Ironically, we often see this come from people who are posting angry rants about how everyone ELSE is angry.

It's like when you buy a new car and all of a sudden you start seeing that same car everywhere. You see what you want to see. Your mind naturally latches on to what is out of the ordinary.

Some people get home and complain about "all the asshole drivers" they encountered on their commute, perhaps not realizing they're ignoring the literally thousands of other drivers that used their turn signals, merged properly, and generally just drove normally.

 

It's going to be real fun when you speed up to ram someone and you show up in court with your fancy dash cam video... and they charge you with reckless driving and fault you for the accident.

Since things got weird in 2020 I've made a conscious effort to honk at people less, be more understanding, and clamp down on negativity. I'm a happier person for it.


On the other hand, people give lots of space to the beat up trucks, never know when something might fall off, and its not like the owner is gonna care about another dent

I got hit head on 2 years ago while on vacation in TN. Fortunately only very minor injuries for both g/f and myself. Close calls through the years aplenty but my love of riding exceeds any fears of continuing. Friends and family who know me all know if that's how I finally go know that I went doing what I truly love.

what pisses me off is when i am behind some moron who is merging onto the highway at 40 mph. speed the fuck up you fucking pussy. you are making this more dangerous for all of us by forcing us to merge into 80mph traffic while your little bitch ass is too scared to get up to speed.

i also live in dallas, and drivers here are trash.

 

True story time; former coworker who was golden gloves champ. He tried a couple of times to warn the guy back off but he didn't listen. Turned out to be a bad day for that dude.
