I have a drawer system in my truck and we just got a dog, noticed that after I have a dog crate in the back, I am really limited on space these days for camping. I have a yakima setup now, and was debating this exact same prinsu rack/cargo basket combo. I wasn't sure you could mount the cargo box to the prinsu. Does it need an adapter? or does it just mount straight to the cross bars of the prinsu? I am assuming the yakima and thule boxes mount pretty similarly. Thanks

No adapter needed, mine attached directly to the crossbars that mate with the truck shell. The Thule has about a foot adjustment, forward and back, on each mounting clamp to allow you to find a crossbar to match. I did have to remove the furthest cross bars at the front and back of the shell rack because the Thule's nose and rear sag below the level of the mounting clamps. I replaced them with the smaller single channel crossbars at a lower position.

Looks great! Looking to do something similar with the toprac and shell. Do you think it’s necessary to get bed stiffeners, seeing as though you’ve had this setup for awhile?

My bedsides have not moved or sagged with the weight of the camper shell, but iv had bed stiffeners almost from day 1. The bed still twists if your flexing the suspension out but that has more to do with the frame then the bed.

Just saw in an earlier post where you had them. Good to know, I guess I could always add them later. Thanks.

Oh weird, it looks huge. But I have a Yakima Rocket box 11, which is almost the exact same thing. maybe I will just stick with that!

Went ahead and replaced the 600# coils on my Kings with 650#. Now with only 5 threads showing above the preload ring I can achieve roughly the same lift. Ride is noticeably smoother as well.

Next week I am biting the bullet on 4.88's gears, hopefully they will bring back some of the drive-ability I lost with the 33'' E-rated Coopers.

Ditched the ARE shell and added a Super Pacific Camper.
