    It looks like just a generic hand vacuum pump. You can pick them up at any parts store. He’s just supplying 12v source and ground with jumpers to the battery. It’s not a tester or tool. The vacuum pulled on the switch activated the load/solenoid. He’s testing a bad and a good one.

    The handpump is not electrical. Just creates a suction when pumped. Used here to show when the solenoid opens (the held vacuum is released.
    The other tools are simply two jumper wires. Connected to the battery Neg & Pos terminals and then to the appropriate pins on the solenoid. Used to activate said solenoid.

    Right, the vacuum tester pump I have covered.

    What kind of jumper wires are they? It looks like I need some that hold onto the pins on the valve, and the other end of the positive one needs to hook onto my battery terminal, and the other end of the negative one needs to have a probe so I can touch the negative battery terminal like he's doing. I haven't done any kind of electrical work so I know nothing about this.

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Always fuse your test leads

    It can sometimes save your hands from being burned or a visit from the Fire Department and insurance adjuster.

    This is why I like using a multi meter in series while testing stuff. Cheaper to replace fuses than burn up some electronics.

    Still no idea what you're talking about. When you say fuse I think of the things in the fuse box that I have to replace if I one goes out.

    this a fused test lead this fused test lead 001.jpg has a 10 amp fuseorry it is a little blurry
