Except for the laying on a gravel driveway bit...that always sucks

Fumoto? And how are you accessing it, needle nose pliers through the hole?

@steelcity2, yes...been running one for a few years now

@Bootselectric, there's enough room to get my fingers in there to open the valve. I run the tubing from the nipple on the valve right into the hole in the drain pan. Super clean and quick oil change.

Atta boy. Nice to see that skid put to good use, too. It's starting to develop a patina lol

right on! A fumoto on a 4.0 makes for what is easily the simplest oil change I've experienced in what's coming up on 40 years of oil changes. This just shows that its practicality knows no bounds. I've got the tube but never used it, no skids.

thats exactly what I do but I have enough room to get a oil jug under the truck and leave it out on garbage day for pick up. I also have a longer tube from the oil filter down to the jug to drain the oil in the filter as well. Super quick and easy oil changes.

    Putting asside the Fumo valve.

Try laying on a large piece of cardboard or a 1/4" sheet of plywood. It'll ease that gravel acupuncture bed.

There is cardboard to the left of the drain pan that I used for just that. I'm hoping to get started on a garage build in the next year and when I do, installing a lift will be part of the project.

That other side is accessible under the hood and just needs a cup or bottle to be made non-messy...

At the very least, make sure you pour your concrete plenty thick to accommodate a lift when you're ready to pull the trigger.
