    -----SOLD------

I pulled my HAM radio and gear, no longer have a need for this kit. This is everything you need except for a battery (I have one, but will not ship. Contact me directly if you are in the KY area for discussion).

Asking $400 shipped. I have this out of the truck, boxed and ready to get to UPS the day after payment received. Prefer paypal.

Off Grid Engineering Aluminum 2nd battery holder. This goes over on the passenger side, requires an ATRAC equipped Tacoma. "CNC machined from 6000 series aluminum and precision TIG welded, this battery tray is designed to fit the 2nd and 3rd Generation Toyota Tacoma equipped with ATRAC (TRD Off-Road) and allow fitment of a second battery in the engine compartment. This tray WILL NOT fit TRD Sport model or SR5 model Tacomas. This tray will also NOT FIT SOME 2005-2006 TRD OFF-ROAD MODELS. Please check your truck for an ABS distribution block that may reside on the passenger fender near the firewall. It is a block with several brake lines protruding from it. "

This is the link to the battery tray:
    https://www.**************/collections/battery-trays/products/toyota-tacoma-auxilary-battery-tray

All wiring is 4 gauge with crimped lugs and connectors as well as battery terminals with multiple 4/8/12 gauge holes for connecting your secondary loads or distribution blocks. Dual fuse holders with fuses.

WirthCo Battery Doctor 150A isolator/auto relay with manual override. This automatically connects the batteries and charges the secondary battery while the engine is running, disconnects when not. Push a button to connect and jump start if your main battery goes dead.

This setup should take under an hour to get installed.

Tacomaworld blocks some websites. I don't know much about this but looks like Offgrid Engineering is one of those sites. The OP won't be able to provide a link as it'll be automatically killed by the forum. Just google the product, it's easy to find.

@patchesj Have any pictures installed in the truck? Also, any reason why you didnt go with the OGE Redarc or Blue Sea Isolator/Relay? Have been piecing things together and was going to order the full OGE+Redarc Kit. But between wait times and cost.. I may be just fine ditching the Redarc for this setup.. IF it would work that is..

@BEAR_KNIFE_FIGHT any insight on this setup my man?

I pulled it from the truck already, let me look for some old pictures. The battery doctor kit did everything I needed, wasn't looking for in cab controls. Figured if I needed to jump the car, the hood is going to be open and I can just push the button...

Stuff here and there. Built not Bought. Fabbing w/o Fibbing
Is it true that this only works on lead cell batteries and not agm?

I don't know why it wouldn't work with AGM. It senses the voltage when the engine is running and closes the circuit to the 2nd battery. When the engine stops (alternator not charging) it disconnects the feed to the 2nd battery. The loads remain connected.

If the alternator works with AGM, there shouldn't be any difference.

I don't see any real benefit to the Redarc, unless you are planning on using solar panels. Otherwise, it's just a latching relay.

Between not having solar, I'd also say that it's just a "dumb" battery isolator -- it doesn't do DC/DC charging beyond equalizing the voltages in the batteries. The Redarc is a DC/DC charger and also is a bit more intelligent when it comes to charging profiles for different chemistry batteries. I'd personally prefer a DC/DC charger over just a battery isolator, but people have different needs/desires.

    Sorry about the delay man!
