So we picked up her 4runner last week and she loves it. Keep in mind she was driving a Kia Forte so big difference there. The 4Runner rides smoother than my Tacoma for obvious reasons. The 4Runner has a nicer interior than my Tacoma, more soft touch surfaces. What surprised me is some of the features that are not on the 4Runner premium that are standard on my TRD Sport. Such as auto on headlights, LED DRL's and remote start. That being said, it's definitely a more comfortable driver. 20211029_122958.jpg

Recently sold the wife's 2011 TRD OR DCSB and picked up a '22 SR5 4Runner. Really impressed with the 4Runner, rides and drives so well.
I still have my '13 TRD OR DCSB, but I'm a little envious.

I just switched 2 weeks ago from a tacoma to a 4runner. I really like the 5 speed transmission vs the 8. 8 speed did get great MPG's however I felt like it was always hunting/shifting in-town. When driving on the highway, any changes in terrain/wind/elevation and the shifting would start up again.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.

I have always wanted a Runner. I just have to have a bed. Yeah...trailer...but not a replacement in all situations. Japan production and parts content is a huge part of why I would prefer one. Those of you who can, should jump quick. The venerable 4.0 is going away after this year to be replaced by some washing machine engine with turbowzzz. And yes....I regret getting a 2021 taco after driving a 2nd gen for a decade and a half. I still puke in my mouth a little bit when I say that I'm going to end up in an F250 soon as the market strightens itself out. I need a truck, not technology.

That's one of the main reasons I got my '21 SR5 back in September. So glad I was able to get in before the dealer markup thing became so prevalent.

I sure don’t miss my turd gen, and I love my 4runner every day I drive it. I like the less than electronics, less stuff to repair down the road, especially since I plan to keep it till I croak.

My tacoma was totaled 3 months ago and I've been in a 4runner rental since. My wife now wants one... I figure, nice, now I can mod both!
