I currently have a 2inch body lift from the previous owner. It appears that they never upgraded their UCA and I believe the bearings are wearing out as I am starting to hear some noises from that area when hitting a bump too hard. I am planning on doing a 3" inch suspension upgrade in the distant future, but in the mean time, to ensure nothing breaks while my wife is driving it, I am going to upgrade the UCA's.

My question is if I get a UCA that is fitted for a 3" lift, will that work with the present 2" body lift? Or does it need to be exact?

A body lift does not affect the suspension at all, and UCA's will make no difference to the truck... once you do the 3" lift then they will help with alignment issues.

Please describe the sound you are hearing and when you hear it.

And welcome to Tacoma World :hattip:

A body lift should not affect the suspension geometry in any way, so UCA would not be correcting anything. They may not hurt, or could add more adjustability to the front end alignment range, depending on what UCA is installed, not really sure.
