I grew up with my fathers 06 tundra with the 4.7. Love this family of engine, just not the gas mileage... although this gets almost the same mileage as my Tacoma!

    A thing or two...
Heading for a rapid Covid test this afternoon. Supposed to leave tomorrow morning on a work trip, and my usual cough/phlegm has ramped up over the last couple of days.

Good deal !! As long as 2WD works for you.

Owning a 2Wd truck was the worse thing I ever did with my work.Young and dumb!

Even with around 500 pounds in the bed it would only move when the sun was out and it was completely dry.

I got real good at putting on chains in the rain.

I gave it away to a son of one coworker who never left hard surface roads

I kind of wish mine was 4wd but realistically I've never needed one yet, down here you don't really need it unless you have to go through mud somewhere. I'm almost completely and on road driver though, so there is that.

My 09 Tacoma was 2wd and with good tires and some weight I had no problems going many places it shouldn't have. And driving in every snowstorm all winter before plows hit the road due to my shift getting out at 3am. I like 4wd, but for how much on road commuting I do, I can make responsible choices and make it work. I also couldn't stomach paying an extra 20k for a used 4wd...
edit: I'm also known for spending more time sideways in the winter time than a straight line. Using a bit of counter steer and throttle to make it places doesn't bother me at all.

It was not long after that I bought my first and only New Vehicle 1976 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 4 speed 350 I think it was a leftover.

With all the taxes and license out the Door for $6000.00 I put $3000.00 down Mom said to get a loan to build my credit or I would have paid cash.

That's awesome! I usually avoid new vehicles, but the used market is so ridiculous it didn't make sense to pay the same amount for a used 4x4 with rust and no warranty that somebody has already driven in multiple winters.
