    Hello friends,

I'm currently working on getting my 2nd gen to auto-lock on going into gear.

My current plan is to tap the "except P/N" circuit off the back of the ECU with an optoisolator relay, then feed the resulting constant-on into an Arduino board programmed to pulse the door locks once on "high in" from the optoisolator, and reset state on when that "except P/N" goes low.

Does anyone have input or experience before I start ordering parts?

    Thanks!

This is a perfectly valid suggestion and I thank you for it. I was originally going to do it with a couple relays and a cap/resistor, but the 'uino gives me flexibility for more dumb stuff later.

Your Truck is to new for me.

Never had the chance to look at the EWD for your year.

Looking at my 2000 it would be quite simple with one relay
