Recently joined the club and bought a 21 off road Tacoma. Definitely a few things to do sooner then later.

Acquire LED headlights I feel like they look so much better

I want to lift the Tacoma but I got lost with all the options and what not. Definitely want to go up 3" and give it some more height. It'll be my daily vehicle and not see too much off roading for now.

Interested in Tonneau cover as well. Want a hard cover

Interested to learn from this group and see what else I want to do

Well whatever you decide, don't do the 3'' lift a buddy did on his 2019 trd. It really screwed up his truck with excess vibrations, and noise. Imo, these trucks are not designed to be lifted without spending a lot of money, and even then i wonder how well they actually ride over the long haul.

Welcome :) Check out the TRD lift kit. You won't get your 3 inches and it's rather pricey, but you're ride and your warranty will both stay in tact.

Don’t go above 2” lift. It’s more lift than you think at 2” and staying below that number prevents a pile of issues with the CV Joints, CV Boots, front needle bearing, rear axle-wrap, and rear driveshaft vibrations.

All these problems can be solved, if you really want to go higher, but there’s little point if you have no reason to.

Congrats on the new Tacoma and welcome to the fam. Considering your stated use for the truck:

    1. 3 inches is way too much.

    2. That's what she said.

Make sure you get some Raptor lights and one of those raised up in the air tents.

raptor lights are ghay, we’ve established that! But hating on a RTT that deploys in 10 seconds and not fumble fucking with poles, air mattress etc. on a ground tent? I actually live in my Taco and it’s a game changer :luvya:

Your opinion is as worthless to me as mine is to you but riding around all the time with a small tent mounted to the bed of the truck is absolutely goofy. I am sure their is a very small percentage of people that actually benefit from one but for most it is just a fad. Most will never be open except for initial install pics to be posted on here.

I've used a RTT a few times and agree, they are definately better than ground tents as far as ease of set up, and overall comfort. Don't know that I'd want to drive around with on strapped to my truck full time though.

Also, I discovered an actual used for "raptor" lights...when I auto start my truck in the morning it's the only way I can tell the truck is running when I glance out my window at the driveway. :jerkoff:
