I recently installed a Gator low profile tonnue on my 17 TRD. Issue is the gaps on the side rail covers from my original factor tonnue.

I have searched high and low on the internet for a solution. 17 TRD Off Road short bed, I cant find an aftermarket fix for the short bed. Am I stuck going to the dealer and getting factory oem new side covers for a non-factory tonnue? Looks terrible and definitely not water tight ( or snow- WI). Any insight, directions or info is greatly appreciated. Thank you for Wisconsin. Side rail holes 1.jpg

Yes. You are stuck buying new bed side covers. Trucks that came with the OEM cover have those cut outs. Trucks that didn’t come with the factory cover do not. You need replacement covers.

Maybe search local wrecking yards, or return the Gator cover and buy an OEM cover.

Yeah really no other option, other than getting new caps.

If you can lucky, you find a local thats installing an oem tonneau and see if they are willing to swap with you.

WTH? The OEM tonneau cover requires cutting into the bed side caps??? Talk about overcomplicating something so simple. My tonneau (made by Rugged) just sits on top of the bed sides and attaches to the factory bed rails. Easy as can be. Keeps the water out, looks good, and I can take it off/on in a few minutes like it was never there.
