Never gone wrong with one of these

Brush for getting the snow off, ice scraper for the windows. Best thing is always to start the vehicle ten minutes before you leave and let the defrosters do the work.

:rofl:When there's that much snow I use my hockey stick to clear it, might have a little more reach than your extendo brush.

"snow brooms" like this with a ice scraper on the handle are great. They're the least scratchy and move a lot of snow off the car. They have multiple length attachments to reach the roof easily on trucks/suvs

Get something that extends. You are legally required to remove all snow from the truck before driving. So if there is snow on the roof, you are required to remove it.

*its not really enforced, but if a chunk flies off your roof and breaks someones windshield your on the hook for the damages.

Before anyone buys a car they should be able to prove they can clean the snow off the roof. This is level 20,000 grinds my gears when I see any car without the snow cleared off.

Put a piece of cardboard on your windshield. I used a push broom to clear the snow off.

The cardboard helps keep any new snow from melting and refreezing. The frost and hoar will grow on the cardboard.

Now I live in the tropics. I pay $7.00 for a gallon of milk. But I've no heating costs. I sure ain't scraping any ice soon.:kona:

Around here we always have the people who just clear half the windshield and call it good. Side windows are covered, rear window cover, hood, roof, trunk, covered...
Then there are the ones who clear everything but the roof, then it slides down the windshield when they hit the brakes and covered their view with a 4 inch thick blanket that wipers cant move.

Also, OP, your wipers are for clearing water. Do not use them to clear snow as thats how you destroy the wiper system.

Just be careful with ice melt products some are hard on paint, for ice they have got plenty of designs I prefer a hard plastic scraper

Most of the sprays are almost pure methanol. Hard pass.

There is a Canadian brand with a bear on it. I'll have to go out to the car and see what brand. They are the only ones I have found that are worth a damn.

I'm sure you can find a better brush, but the scaper itself is the best I have found.

Those are the best for clearing snow off of a car.

Years ago, I was stuck in traffic in front of a used car dealer and saw a lot attendant using one to clear off dozens of cars. My next stop was an auto parts store to buy one and I've been using it ever since.
