Looks better than a lot of trucks I've seen on this board.

I say buy it but I’m very biased, my first new truck was a red 86 4x4 std cab 22r truck. 21 years old with a brand new Toyota wheeler, Doesn’t get any better!
I just picked up a clone of my original truck for 2k…..but I’m buying it from my doughter who has had it for the last 6 years and that was kind of the deal, I fix and maintain it for as long as she wanted/needed it and then I could buy it off her for cheep and drive it around pretending I’m 21 again, lol!1F47EC9B-8EF8-4DF5-BF1D-C9CF25F27E93.jpgE0A9F8BC-1F7D-487B-838A-26FD08081D66.jpg

Like you said OP it comes down to the money.Cash works very well .

Then a very good relationship with the Bank with very good collateral.

The first time I tried to borrow money for a 66 Corvette The loan officer was almost on the floor laughing

I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
Like somebody said. That truck is better than most on here. Can't beat that squared body style, but everybody has an opinion. If you live in a salt free area 9k. is good.

Update to all who replied: Thank you for your opinions and replies. I bought the truck today for 9k and I am loving it so far, it’s amazing that everything still works as it should. Hell even the clutch start cancel button works and lights up. I’ll get you all some pictures soon! God bless!

That's a good truck dude....You have yourself a Toyota lovers truck. I would not fool with it, and just keep it clean/waxed.

I just went back to take another look, because I love that shlt. Super tough looker, and getting old. Hard to believe I was out of high school four years when that truck came out. You do have to wonder how come the seams in the bed are not rusting through. A real common theme on those years

Thanks for the compliments. I’ll do everything in my power to keep it in excellent condition. No salt on roads or in the air in East Central Alabama, but I will fluid film and coat once a year before winter.

I wouldn't make that my daily driver....I like it too much, and driving daily will kill it over time.

I will alternate driving this and my 2011 around town, but only the 2011 will leave town. 86 will stay in my county forever. I have a city vehicle for work so they really hardly get driven during the week. Girlfriend has a crv that we use if we need to go longer distance (better mpg).

I am glad it worked out for you .

The only real down side is these Trucks only have a small group of buyers who will pay what you think it might be worth down the road.

    Best of luck
