Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

My wife is watching Peaky Blinders while I'm answering the door for the candy monsters.

Thankfully, at least so far, no one on the show has said anything bad while there's kids at the door.

 

Final tally - an even 60 kids.

 

I watched that for awhile, and really liked it...but it sure is hard for a redneck to understand what they're saying.

 

I haven't lived in a place since I moved out of my parents' house that I got trick-or-treaters.

Goodmorning crew. Cold weather is here but not freezing until tonight.

 

Good Monday morning! Zero trick or treaters lastnight, good thing cause we didn't get anything to give out

 

When I was young and real poor I bought Ramen noodles by the case - it was the cheapest thing in the grocery store.

Don't use that flavor packet though, enough salt in there to rust the fender off a pick up truck.

 

Salt is life...yup we still buy Ramen...not as much a staple as it used to be but still ok for a snack

 

I had some just a couple days ago.Good stuff

 

I still buy it once in a while for a guilty pleasure -- the more I read labels the less fun eating becomes... (damn doctor....)

 

I haven't eaten Ramen noodles in a few years but almost certainly some in the downstairs pantry. Probably expired, I'll have to look in a bit. I like the chicken, beef or pork and think a few mixed veggies sprinkle in makes it even better.

 

What's to expire????? Wouldn't that be like a 'Best Before' date on SPAM?

 

Ramen is almost exclusively "sick food" for me now.

Don't feel like eating anything but you really should?

Ramen noodles are alright to me, if I use the pack of flavoring I only use half of it. I can feel my BP go up while eating them.

Every once in a while I’ll make some ramen and a pb&j sammich. Dunk the sammy into the broth for that salty/sweet combo.

 

Good point. There was only one package of it left and date was 8/7/20. I'll get some more just because it is something with a decent shelf life.
Pretty sure both the kids like it and are the primary consumers around here.
