CaliRaisedLED is offing a great discount and good to see you are passing on the savings. However I'm concerned that your website descriptions might not be complete. Specifically, for the Tacoma transmission skid plate you neglected to add (which IS on the CaliRaised website) the text about it not fitting if you have the factory TRD front skid plate. I would love to know why it won't fit (I have a question into CaliRaised they have not yet answered) and if anything can be done to make it fit because I really want transmission & transfer case skid armor but will not be getting rid of the $400 TRD skid plate I recently installed.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I have revised the content to reflect the notation of fitment.

In addition, I have spoken with one of our reps over at Cali Raised to confirm the compatibility and unfortunately it falls into the same category as many of the other aftermarket skids. Most aftermarket skids tend to have a design that requires them to "interlock" with one another. So you would install the front skid and then work your way back by "sliding" and securing them into one another. The TRD Pro skid mounts differently than the Cali Raised front skid, so ultimately the Cali Raised transmission skid can't lock into place with the TRD Pro skid.

Can you ask if the Cali transmission skid is long enough to perhaps drill new holes for the existing factory skid bolts to fit through perhaps?

I spoke with my rep and their engineer and unfortunately they are unable to confirm as they have not attempted it, nor had a customer attempt it and provide feedback. They stated "these are two completely different shaped designs and regardless of the modification the customer is willing to do, we're unable to confirm if it would be an appropriate solution. It is not something that we would recommend".

I will continue to discuss with our team to determine if there are any other suitable options, however as mentioned, this is a situation we have run into with other skids such as RCI and CBI as well.

    Thank you,
