Hi. I am looking to install a truetrac rear install on my 2006 prerunner. i've heard people tell me the el segundo shop has a great installer that is very knowledable and experienced. the compton shop... not so much.

    anyone have this experience?

they are offering $150 store credit when you buy a truetrac from them right now. that's why im checking.

also thinking about removing the diff myself and taking it to a different local shop for the install.

If you end up spending the 150 on labor then it may not be a great deal. I'm sure you can find better rates (and knowledge) elsewhere. but it is a good deal if you have other parts you may wanna buy... however I do not have a shop suggestion at the time. just think thats a better idea.

Isn't there a KFlo video where he bought diffs pre-assembled to install in the truck at home, requiring mailing back the core units when finished?
However that was for ARB air lockers regeared to a better ratio.
I don't know if the company he used lists for sale a Truetrac version of that, or maybe that can do so at custom request.
