Had a super clean 2016 in today for the KDMAXX Tune.. The best part of this is seeing people reactions and smiling faces.

Even if you've been flashed with a base tune from someone else, come see what we can do for you.

DRY THROUGH TOMORROW: We expect a mostly sunny. sky across Alabama today with a high in the 68-72 degree range. A dry cold front will slowly pass through the state over the next 36 hours; tomorrow will feature a partly sunny sky with a high in the mid 60s. The cooling trend continues Wednesday… the sky becomes mostly cloudy with temperatures won’t get out of the 50s over the northern counties of the state. And, we will mention the chance of a little light rain over the Tennessee Valley of North Alabama by Wednesday afternoon.

RAIN RETURNS: Periods of light rain are likely statewide Wednesday night into Thursday as a wave of low pressure forms on a stalled front near the Gulf Coast. It will be a rather chilly rain Wednesday with temperatures only in the upper 40s and low 50s over the northern half of the state.Rain amounts should be under 1/2 inch for most places. Rain will end late Thursday and Thursday night.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: Look for sunny cool days, and clear cold nights Friday through Sunday. The high Friday and Saturday will be in the 56-62 degree range, and then in the mid 60s Sunday. Lows will drop into the 30s over the weekend, and there is potential for lots of frost for North/Central Alabama early Saturday morning. Colder spots could see their first freeze of the season.

NEXT WEEK: For now the weather looks fairly quiet… one system could bring a little light rain by Wednesday. Highs will be mostly in the 60s, with lows in the 40s. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: “Subtropical Storm” Wanda formed over the weekend in the North Atlantic… it is a hybrid system that won’t last long, and will stay far from land. The rest of the Atlantic basin is quiet…there is one weak wave in the eastern Atlantic that is not expected to develop (only a 20 percent chance). The Gulf of Mexico will remain quiet; hurricane season ends November 30.

TORNADO SEASON BEGINS: Tornado season in Alabama is considered November through May; we have experienced 279 tornadoes in Alabama since 1950… it ranks third behind April and March.

ON THIS DATE IN 1861: A tropical storm raced across Florida, becoming a hurricane off the coast of South Carolina. The storm-battered a Union fleet of ships attacking the Carolina ports.

ON THIS DATE IN 2014: Up to 6 inches of snow fell in Gilbert, South Carolina.

Hey guys- anyone parting out a 1st gen tacoma?
I'm looking for a speedometer cluster w/tach for a V6. If anyone has one around 180k or less I'd be interested in buying it.
I did look in the buy/sell/trade but I evidently haven't posted enough to pass mod rules...

    2nd Gen Tacoma with Procharger?

If so not a big issue.. We mostly do TRD and Magnuson but same concepts apply.

In a nutshell- What benefits would I get from a tune on my 09 TRD Sport? What kind of cost would we be talking?

Here is some information on the 2nd Gen Calibrations

    https://overlandtailor.com/2nd-gen-tacoma-tuning

Biggest are the enhanced throttle, better shifting and enhanced low and mid range torque. Many people see better fuel economy, but we cant promise that.. However the stock calibration is rich so there is room fro improvement.

    Hope that helps -

    John~

RADAR CHECK: We have a few “illegal” showers over North Alabama early this morning (showers that weren’t in the forecast), those should dissipate by mid-morning. Otherwise, we expect a partly sunny sky today across the state with a high in the low 60s for most communities. The average high for November 2 at Birmingham is 70.

The weather will turn colder tomorrow and Thursday; we expect a high only in the 50-55 degree range both days. The sky will be mostly cloudy, and some scattered light rain is possible as a wave of low pressure scoots along a stalled front near the Gulf Coast. Moisture will be very limited, and rain amounts will be very light, generally under one tenth of an inch.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: We will forecast a clearing sky Friday with a high between 55 and 60 degrees. Then, the weekend will feature sunny cool days and fair cold nights. Highs will be in the low 60s Saturday, followed by mid 60s Sunday. Lows will be in the 30s and 40s both mornings… while guidance has trended a little warmer, there is still a chance of some frost both mornings over the northern half of the state.

NEXT WEEK: The weather remains very quiet; the week will be mostly dry with seasonal temperatures. A cold front could bring some rain toward the end of the week… highs will be mostly in the 60s with lows in the 40s. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: Tropical Storm Wanda is in the North Atlantic with winds of 50 mph. It is far from land, and will stay far from land this week… it should dissipate this weekend, or become post-tropical. There is a disturbance over the far Southwest Caribbean, but it is moving into Central America this morning. The rest of the Atlantic basin is very quiet.

FALL COLOR PEAK: Fall foliage colors will peak in Alabama November 5-19; the cool snap this week will really bring out colors beginning this weekend, initially over the northern half of the state. Cheaha and DeSoto State Parks are always great places to see the colors, another good one is the The Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge near West Blocton.

RAIN UPDATE: These are rain totals for the year, and the departure from average…

    Mobile 77.51″ (+20.33″)
    Birmingham 63.50″ (+15.85″)
    Tuscaloosa 61.89″ (+17.82″)
    Huntsville 57.91″ (+13.62″)
    Muscle Shoals 56.28″ (+11.56″)
    Dothan 56.16″ (+10.86″)
    Montgomery 50.17″ (+7.84″)
    Anniston 41.74″ (-1.39″)

ON THIS DATE IN 1743: Benjamin Franklin’s “eclipse hurricane” unlocked the key to storm movement. A rainstorm prevented Ben Franklin from viewing a lunar eclipse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but his brother in Boston saw it, though the rain began an hour later.

ON THIS DATE IN 1992: Another infamous November Great Lakes Storm brought windy conditions to Minnesota’s Lake Superior shoreline. 70 mph winds caused waves to crash over 130-foot walls along the shore. Often called the “Witch of November”

COLDER: Clouds have moved into Alabama this morning, and we will have a little patchy light rain around today, tonight, and tomorrow morning as an upper trough passes through. Rain amounts will be very light, generally under one tenth of an inch… some places won’t get enough rain to measure. Temperatures will be noticeably colder today with a high between 47 and 52 degrees for the northern half of the state. The average high for Birmingham on November 3 is 69.

While the light rain will end tomorrow morning, clouds linger tomorrow with a high in the mid 50s. Then, look for a clearing sky Friday as the sky becomes partly sunny… Friday’s high will be in the 62-65 degree range.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Look for dry weather over the weekend with sunny pleasant days and clear cool nights; highs will be in the 60s, with lows mostly in the 40s. We should note here that some of the colder spots over North/Central Alabama could see mid to upper 30s both mornings with a chance of some scattered light frost.

NEXT WEEK: The weather will likely remain dry Monday through Thursday with highs around 70, and lows mostly in the 40s. Rain is expected to return on Friday (November 12) as a cold front approaches… See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

For now we see no sign of a widespread freeze for the next ten days. The average date of the first freeze for Birmingham is November 9. The latest “first freeze” on record came in the winter of 1931-1932, when we didn’t hit the freezing mark until January 10.

SOUTH ALABAMA AT TROY (2:30p CT kickoff at Veterans Memorial Stadium): A great day for football; the sky will be sunny with temperatures in the upper 60s during the first half, falling to near 60 by the final whistle.

LSU AT ALABAMA (6:00p CT kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium): The sky will be clear with temperatures falling through the 50s during the game.

ON THIS DATE IN 1966: An early season snowfall, which started on the 2nd, whitened the ground from Alabama to Michigan. Mobile had their earliest snowflakes on record. Louisville, Kentucky measured 13.1 inches, Nashville; Tennessee reported 7.2 inches, and Huntsville had 4 inches of snow.

RADAR CHECK: We have a large area of light rain across much of Central Alabama early this morning, but it will end over the next couple of hours. Clouds will linger, and the high today will be in the mid 50s, about 10-15 degrees below average for early November in Alabama. Clearing begins late tonight over the northwest corner of the state and parts of the Tennessee Valley, and that could result in some spots there seeing lows in the mid 30s early tomorrow with frost. Otherwise, tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the 40-44 degree range.

TOMORROW AND THE WEEKEND: The sky will clear statewide during the day tomorrow; temperatures reach the mid 60s by afternoon. Then, for the weekend, look for sunny pleasant days and fair cold nights. Highs will be in the mid 60s Saturday, followed by upper 60s Sunday. Morning lows will be mostly in the 38-43 degree range, with some frost possible for colder spots over the northern half of the state.

NEXT WEEK: The weather stays dry Monday through Thursday with highs in the low 70s in most places. Rain returns at the end of the week on Friday (November 12), followed by a shot of colder air for the following weekend. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.
