I keep my hitch draw bar and convert-a-ball kit in there, and it's getting rusty. Any easy way to keep water out? TIA.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Nothing that's foolproof unless you vacuum bag it with a desiccant inside.
Kinda defeats the purpose of having it readily accessible.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
Sticky tape foam "weather striping" seems to work quite well.

I put two pieces side by side over the cover tab and locking tab holes. The cover tabs slide between. Spreading the gap a bit. Not perfect, but "better is the mortal enemy of good enough".
For the weep holes, I did the same. Two short pieces side by side with the join line centered on the weep hole. I flexed open the crack with a small screw driver just enough to see light. Any water appears to get out OK, maybe slower, but I can't tell.

It's only been over the summer, and I don't drive much. But so far, it's working.

Cost is about zip, as I had the foam door and window seal on hand.

I guess I'll just pull the puppy out and find something that will seal the holes. I have a bed cover, so it's the water getting in through the "drain holes".
