I’m from Manitoba too. Looks like you got it from Birchwood? We’re you able to get a deal on it? I’ve been looking but can’t get even a penny off anything.

    Very Nice!

The vintage letters on the grill add a classic touch.

I'm glad you were finally able to get it home! Post more pictures after those new wheels and tires go on Monday. Are you planning to remove the front air dam?

I just got the wheels and tires installed today finally. It looks good and I almost have a problem getting in because of the height lol. I'm 5'11" so it's not like I'm on the short side.Screenshot_20211102-150147_Gallery.jpg

Ya, to the bottom of the frame is 16" so the inside has got to be 24" or 26" ? I'll have to measure. The main thing is the looks

Two weeks since my truck arrived, and it's set up just the way I want it. Here's a little "before and after"...

    Visible:
    -Removed the OEM tube steps
-Removed the "Tacoma" and "V6" badges
-Added Line-X to the rocker panels

    Not Visible:
-Added paint protection film on the front of the hood and fenders, under the door handles, and across the ridge on the tailgate
-Added Seat Jackers on the driver's seat
-Removed the plastic cover from the top of the engine
-Removed the OEM door edge guards

Looking good! How was removing the edge guards I want to take mine off...but can't tell if they're just plastic or metal and could scratch when being pulled off

So... the bad news is, it was a pain in the butt. The good news is, I got them off without any paint damage and I think you'll have the same result as long as you don't try to use any metal tools when you're removing them.

I was able to get the front ones off with just my fingers. I started at the top, got the fingernails of both hands against the edge, pried as hard as I could, swore a lot, and was ultimately able to wrestle them off. Once the tip was free, the rest of the guard came off easily. The rear ones were harder - I ended up employing a soft plastic tool that originally came in an iPhone battery replacement kit to get a little more leverage, as well as another generous helping of foul language. Eventually with bruised fingertips, a ruined plastic phone repair tool, and a dark feeling of shame for the oaths I'd uttered, the edge guards were off and my truck was undamaged.

Do it yourself, just bring your patience and make sure no young ears are present

Thanks! Are they just hard plastic vs metal? I have this irrational fear they are metal and were clamped on

I think Toyota's website describes them as "vinyl-coated stainless steel" if I remember right... so there's a metal core inside, but it's all covered by plastic. There's no exposed metal to worry about.

I am just curious as to why you would want to remove them. I can understand something that effects ground clearance, but what makes the door edge guards less than desirable?
